to be a total failure in sales - so bad in fact that I
used to make things worse. This stemmed in parts from the
roots in my childhood where I used to go to great lengths
to avoid talking in public – plays, classroom etc. Being
deaf didn't help. Today, I know what works and my career
has included cold calling hostile householders, other
varieties of direct sales, telephone sales, business and
corporate level sales, sales training and management, and
speaking to large groups of people in public setting (the
biggest approximately 5000 at the London Direct Marketing
Fair).
4) I
am a lateral thinker.
