Motorcycles
Way back, I learnt to ride a motorbike at 14
years and passed the test after a few months. Fortunately for
me, where I lived at the time (Guernsey, Channel Islands,
UK) allowed riding at such a young age. And also
fortunately, I survived!
Today, I still ride motorbikes and never had
to take another test, as the one I took at 14 entitled me to
ride large bikes and was internationally recognised.
My preference is for Cruisers, though I am
not a big fan of Harley Davidson - partly because one I had
years ago (81) was terrible; so bad it was also even
dangerous (I had to remove a part to make it safe!). Things
kept breaking or wearing out excessively quickly. I know they
have improved today, however I often hear less than
satisfactory feedback from a wide variety of people about
the current day quality and value.
Currently I have a Suzuki Cruiser,
though may get a Triumph Cruiser in due course - an
America or Rocket 3.
I will leave you with a key thought - there
are old motorcyle riders and there are bold motorcycle riders.
There are very few old, bold motorcycle riders. Which would
your family say you are?
